Our Food For Life campaign against industrial agriculture and its impact 
on fresh water has swung into action againtoday.

We're occupying a gigantic irrigation dam construction site and are set 
to stay for some time...

It was an unplanned rapid response. Here's what happened:

Following last month's irrigation pipe action

we began organising a mass public protest

the 14th Sept.

Then two days ago we received a 'cease and desist' letter from the 
irrigation company's lawyers threatening us with an injunction if we 
didn't respond with an undertaking to stop organising protest action.

The deadline to respond passed 12 hours ago.

At the crack of dawn today, a group of people went into the irrigation 
dam construction site in the heart of dairy farming country.

That was our response and organising for the 14th Sept continues.

They've got tents, sleeping bags, lots of food and they're set up to 
stay put. We're also inviting people in the area to come and join us.

On site Thursday morning
Workers arrived but have now left again, and the police are on the scene.

We're asking people who can't get there to share, amplify, sign the 
petition and chip in to sustain the occupation.

#SaveOurRivers <https://twitter.com/hashtag/SaveOurRivers?src=hash> to 
amplify.
