Dear Tord and members of this list,
Hello!
While basically in agreement with Tord concerning the revitalization of
social movements and avoiding the hegemony of NGOs, I would continue the
line of putting pressure on elected politicians to address the urgent need
to diminish CO2 emissions,
at the local and national levels.
I also agree with Tord concerning 15 years-old Greta Thunberg, whose clear
vision, language and courage stands in dire contrast with the dubious
language and worse praxis of most of the current leaders, authorities and
politicians of the world, at the international, national and local levels.
Greta is the best happening to Sweden since the SD:rites (extrem right with
nazi roots, so-called Swedish Democrats) got over 16% of the votes in the
past national elections, following the same trend as Trump, Bolsonaro,
Modi, Ergodan, the Saudi prince and you name it...
There is light in the darkness!
Climate Justice might be the new banner of the Swedish climate &
environmental movements.
System change is required to achieve climate change!
