Cities of Dignity is a collective book written by movement-based
contributors from all parts of the world documenting urban emancipatory
transformations: self-determination, urban commons, food sovereignty,
transnational solidarity. The book details the resistance of Izidora
community in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. (Chapter 4); Black-led commons in
Birmingham, Jackson, and Detroit in the U.S. (Chapter 5); the resistance
and self-determination of slum dwellers in Buhj, India (Chapter 9) and
Lagos (Chapter 6) to name a few. Cities of Dignity is also the third
publication of the Global Working Group 'Beyond Development'. More info

Thank you, Matt Meyer, for giving us an opportunity to talk about the book
at the June 1st People's Strike.
