Dear friends,

The past week has been exciting for all of us from the CBD Women Caucus 
as we prepared some messages for the week long campaign leading to the 
International Biological Diversity Day, May 22, which included some 
wonderful messages from our members from all over the world in a 
compilation of videos, blogs and some webinars.

The theme for this year was *"Our Solutions are in Nature" *and we 
wanted to amplify the local initiatives that are led-by women showcasing 
their diverse knowledge and practices, including their resilience and 
response to COVID-19 pandemic. Again illustrating the fundamental need 
to place women's rights in the heart of all biodiversity related 
discussions, not just limited to the CBD's Post-2020 discussions, 
women's contributions are a fundamental part of nature.
