OnJune 30, 2020, the State of California’s Department of Fair Employment andHousing (DFEH) sued Cisco Systems – a major supplier of computer networkinggear that makes the internet work – indicting the company of discriminatingagainst an engineer because he is Dalit (formerly “untouchables”). Thisstatement from Ambedkar King Study Circle seeks solidarity from media, technology, academic community and industryprofessionals to end caste-based discrimination and practices in the US.
