Ariel, Anitra, thanks for adding / clarifying this....  I of course agree completely – that the experience, trauma, oppression, and violence experienced by the Indigenous Peoples in Australia - is far wider, and deeper, than only deaths in custody; as if that were not profound enough.  As indeed it is – for instance - for Dalits, in India.

            We – and especially those of us who are not Indigenous - all need to talk about this much more, and not in ‘safe’ spaces but spaces that we can share with Indigenous Peoples… and about *these intersectionalities…
