Dear friends,

Sharing an analysis of over 500 state orders that has been done for 28
states and one UT (Delhi) across the informal sector (till May 3rd) to
assess the safety nets announced and to engage better with policies and
suggest ideas to improve the Governmental response to COVID - 19. The
well summarised report captures policy recommendation across informal
groups, benefits mentioned for each informal population group by state
governments, voices of the community in response to the circulars and
safety benefits received.

The document titled - (Seeking Justice for the Informal Sector during
the COVID-19 Lockdown: An analysis of government relief measures for the
informal sector during the lockdown) is attached and link provided. This
is a working document and is done by the IGSSS (Urban) team. I am
sure workers groups, collectives, movements, journalists and different
authorities will find it useful.
