We hope you are keeping well and safe. We are now many weeks into these extraordinary and turbulent times and many things remain uncertain. The multidimensional crises that we all collectively face, however, are fanning deep reflections on why we got to this place and what do we want to do to change our situation for the better.


To contribute to critical discourse and reflection and with the support of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, the Beyond Development Global Working Group, an independent, volunteer-based, self-organized and diverse collective, is pleased to launch its website,

a space which features collective debates, alternative praxes, and fundamental inquiries about the world we live in today and how systemic emancipatory transformation can be achieved.


For this month, we highlight the Democracy Debate critical dialogue series that tackles the theme of democracy.
