Greetings! Amidst despair, it isalso a time to congratulate Prof. Sonajharia Minz, for being appointed as firstTribal Woman Vice Chancellor of any University in India at Sido Kanhu MurmuUniversity, Dumka in Jharkhand state. She is currently a Professor of ComputerScience at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She earlier was elected asthe President of JNU Teachers’ Association (JNUTA) two years ago and alsoserved as Dean, School of Computer and System Sciences, and Chief Advisor,Equal Opportunity Cell, JNU. 

 

As an Adivasi woman she not only hasgreater achievements in academic world but as a socially conscious person hasbeen tirelessly working for Adivasi community empowerment for many years bynow. 

 

May Prof. Sonajharia Minz have manymore feathers in her cap as an educator and an emancipator!
