I/II.
Out in the open!
No more pussyfooting.
Of the cronies, for the cronies, and by the Modi.
Assets, created over decades, to be put on garage sale!
For the benefit of the cronies, of course.
Common people to be left in the lurch, to be looted by cronies.
The state is no longer for them.
Graphically captured in the pictures of over a crore - hungry and thirsty,
migrant workers - men, women and children, trekking back home, maybe,
hundreds of miles away, under the scorching sun.
Contrasted with the choreographed shot of the Prime Minister lazily feeding
a colourful peacock sitting at the beautified doorway of his grand mansion.
Atmanirbhar Bharat!
<<"When a government engages in business, it leads to losses. The
government is bound by rules and the lack of courage to take bold
commercial decisions," the Prime Minister said, addressing a Webinar on
privatisation by the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management.>>
Yet another piece of nasty lie!
The BPCL, for example, is a professionally managed high profit earning
enterprise.

II.
*Mandis have started collapsing.*
*The journey towards "Atmanirbhar Bharat" picking up momentum.*
1/7. So, the objective and the outcome, both are as clear as the daylight.
2/7. Once the Mandis die, no MSP--even if announced--would mean anything.
There'll be no procurement by the FCI with the death of the procurement
infrastructure.
3/7. Being stripped of this support, farmers--whether as independent
producer or producing under "contract"--will solely be at the mercy of the
enterprises purchasing crops.
4/7. As regards the common consumers, if there's no public procurement
there'll be no PDS; on top of that, the regulatory mechanism to control
prices in the open market also stands virtually dismantled via the
amendment (or dissolution?) of the Essential Commodities Act.
5/7. Both farmers and consumers will find themselves "Atmanirbhar"--with no
state support coming their way--so as to fatten the corporate houses
entering agribusiness--with Adani and Ambani at the head.
6/7. As "Atmanirbhar" as the over one crore migrant workers--male, female,
old and young trekking back home, maybe, hundreds of miles away--during the
brutal pandemic lockdown with less than 4 hours notice.
7. Atmanirbhar Bharat!!!
That's what it's all about.
