We are approaching a Truman-MacArthur moment. In the Korea War, a popular
general advocated the use of nuclear weapons against the Communist forces;
the US President fired him. Now Kadyrov, a popular general, is exceeding
his authority by telling Putin that he should unleash nuclear force; will
Putin sack him?? I doesn't seem likely, but the situation cannot be
allowed to fester.
When he began this bluff, he had to worry about the Western respond; he
probably didn't expect this own generals to call his bluff. For what it
worth: I warned him
<https://nofirstuse.global/2022/04/25/putin-dont-even-pretend-to-think-about-starting-a-nuclear-war/>:
"More importantly, while you can be reasonably confident that Biden will
not publicly expose your bluff, there is a risk that it will be openly
called by another party."
